Five killer books that will finally get read in 2024

Given, the article I published at the beginning of this week (on the books that I’m planning on re-reading in 2024), it’s fairly obvious that books are going to be a key part of my next 12 months.

Aside from self-development, I also find I get a lot of inspiration for my articles by reading. Therefore, I keep a list of book recommendations and once books get recommended by three different people, they get added to the “To-Read” list.

The problem, though, is that some books have been on there for most of 2023. That’s too long — so here are the books that I’m finally committing to reading this year:

1. Steal Like an Artist — Austin Kleon

This appears to be the bible for a lot of content creators, as I’ve now had it recommended from multiple different sources.

As I understand it, the general argument is that there is no such thing as true originality. As such, anything we create is simply a rehash (or something heavily influenced) by someone else.

To quote Andre Gide, “Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one was listening, everything must be said again.”
