Sonos introduces its latest speaker on pre-order

Over the last year, Sonos has been working to upgrade its line of speakers. So far, that has included making the Era 100 (the natural successor to the Sonos One) and the Era 300 (the successor to the Play 3).

The next speaker to be improved is Sonos’ largest portable speaker, the Sonos Move. The newest version of the Move (cunningly called the “Move 2”) carries many of the same traits of the other improved speakers including newly designed touch controls and swipe access to control volume and the track being played. The new speaker also comes in a new colour: olive green.

Connectivity

Perhaps, most excitingly, the Move 2 introduces a Line In feature. While this also appears on the Era 100 and 300, ensuring a Line-In port on a portable speaker means that you can play just about any audio source through the Move 3 while you’re out and about at the park, the beach … or anywhere else.

Aside from the Line-In port, the Move 2 also allows concurrent Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. As such, the speaker can be controlled from a wide range of devices. The speakers can also be controlled with your voice as they are integrated with both Amazon and Google.
